To Lake Atitlan by Shuttle and Bus

Direct shuttles leave at 2 PM from Antigua for San Pedro or San Marcos and arrive around 5:30 Occasional construction delays on the Inter-American Highway can extend the trip by a half-hour. Another way to get to San Pedro is a 9 AM shuttle to Panajachel and a boat to San Pedro. This way you arrive by 2 PM and you lose less time in transit.

From San Pedro to Antigua, the direct vans and mini-bus depart at 9 AM and are better options than crossing the lake to Panajachel and catching the shuttle there.

San Pedro Shuttles

To Xela: 2 PM, Sunday.

San Pedro Buses

The bus stop is at the church in el centro.

To Guatemala City, Monday-Saturday: 3:30, 4, 5, 5:30, 6, 8, 10 AM. Noon, 2 PM. Saturday only: 2:30 AM. Monday only: 2:30 AM. Sunday: 6, 7 AM. Noon, 1 and 2 PM.

To Xela, Monday-Saturday: 4:30, 5, 5:30, 6, 7, 8, 11 AM. Sunday: 4:40, 5, 5:30, 6, 8, 11 AM.

From Xela to San Pedro: 11:30 AM. 12, 1, 2, 4 PM.

San Pedro Boats (Lanchas)

To Panajachel (Q25) early AM to 6 PM. Santa Cruz, (Q20).

To San Marcos, Q10.

Panajachel Shuttles

Panajachel shuttles to Antigua cost $10 and up, depending on the travel agency. They leave as early as 6 AM.

Panajachel Buses

The main bus stop is near Restaurante Casablanca at the north end of Avenida Santander. Buses depart fro Antigua, Xela, Solola, and Guatemala City.

Panajachel Boats

To San Pedro (Q25) early AM-6 PM. Santa Cruz, (Q15) Santiago: (Q20).
