The first was founded on the volcanic island that emerged in the lake last December. Surviving passengers and crew from the Love Boat, which crashed into the island to avoid being eaten by the Loch Ness Monster (Atitlan Sol, March 2009), called their new home San Somewhere.
Tofu Taco War
But a dispute between two restaurants over who stole who’s recipe for Tofu Tacos (3 x Q10) led to half the people moving to the other side of the island and calling it San Somewhere Else. Now the border between San Some-where and San Some-where Else has been marked with a day-glow orange line.
Near San Juan, the Jehovah’s Witness Protection Program hid so many crucial witnesses in a campground last year, that the people formed their own town, San Juantanamera.
Another new village, San Dean Martini, was founded by the former head of the Universidad de Guaro, Dean Martini. San Perro, next door to San Pedro, is entirely populated by dogs who fled the latter to avoid religious persecution by overzealous flea collar salesmen.

is required by law
But the new town that travel industry leaders say has the most potential to attract tourists and even locals from around the country is San Tigua.
Smokers from Antigua have been flocking to the new town of San Tigua like birds of a feather after hearing that smoking in public places such as bars and restaurants is not only legal in San Tigua, but is also required by law.
